All wise and knowing.

The White House has their own blog on the offical White House website (www.whitehouse.gov).  This is a useful way to reach people in this age of social networking and technology. If you watch Fox News or read some of the more conservative blogs, you might have noticed the lies that are being spread about President Obama's plan for healthcare for Americans.

This is very counter-productive to our society, and it is time we have health insurance for everyone, paid for by government and more wealthy members of society. After all, we made them.

The White House communication office put out a call on one of their blogs giving Americans a chance to report the lies and fear mongering about healthcare.

This is part of the White House blog post....

"For the record, the President has consistently said that if you like your insurance plan, your doctor, or both, you will be able to keep them.  He has even proposed eight consumer protections relating specifically to the health insurance industry.

There is a lot of disinformation about health insurance reform out there, spanning from control of personal finances to end of life care.  These rumors often travel just below the surface via chain emails or through casual conversation.  Since we can’t keep track of all of them here at the White House, we’re asking for your help. If you get an email or see something on the web about health insurance reform that seems fishy, send it to flag@whitehouse.gov."

I applaud this bold move by President Obama and the White House staff.  Do your part, and help report these liars so we can get on with health care reform.

Guess I'll have to report President Obama to flag@whitehouse.gov.  For spreading disinformation.

Just doing my part to 'help report these liars'.

Does this strike anyone else as Orwellian? Reportin all dissdents (who because they disagree with what your doing are liars) to the president so that he can counter with his own propoganda? That's not to say that there arn't people lying through there teeth about healthcare because of the money thats at stake but I get kinda worried when presidents start doing crap like this.

Well, after all, we can't be havin' ordinary folks out there shouting such seditious language as "Read the bill!" at our 'leaders' now, can we?

on Aug 05, 2009

whoa... report all "lies spreaders"? how far have we fallen to have such level of opression. Orwellian, KGB like, SS-Like... whatever you wanna call it, it has been done before, and it always ends badly.

I do hope the OP is being sarcastic, after people telling me that obama is here to take us from the darkness into the light I can't really be sure of sarcasm in an article such as that.

I thought this was a joke until I read it on the WH site.  Wow, just wow.

Its amazing what Obama and his cultists classify as "lies." Post a video of Obama endlessly stating that he does in fact want single payer universal healthcare and its a "lie."

on Aug 05, 2009

Its also ironic that the OP fully admits Obama's true goal while calling critics "fearmongers"

OK, I will be forwarding this blog to that email since you are also using fearmongering by spreading this information so that people not disagree with the President. When we have an Administration wanting to deal with people in this manner, we should be worried. It's one thing to plot to kill Americans, destroy national monuments and disrupt our daily routines, traffic and work; but to want to find out who's going around telling truths, half truths and lies just because the President can't get his own party members to unanimously pass this bill stinks more of communism and dictatorship than it does that which the US stands for, what so many have given their lives for, what our forefathers fought to give us; freedom. You can't scream fire in a crowded place without feeling the consequences, but since when is it the Gov'ts job to hunt down people for disagreeing with them, even if what some say may be lies.

This from a Gov't system that lies on a daily basis, who lies to win elections, who lies to get what they want. If anything the real problem are those who believ the lies and refuse to educate themselves. Shame on you and everyone else who believes that we should track down dissidents just because they disagree on something as small as healthcare reform compared to terrorist and the likes.

This is the saddest article I have ever read on JU, the owners is not even daring enough to respond back after posting it.

LOL... it does qualify for flagging. Obama claims, "if we like our doctor we can keep our doctor," and "if we like our plan we can keep our plan" This blogger claims that Obama wants to nationalize Healthcare and soak the rich to do it. That would lead to different doctors and a different plan... its fearmongering!

I sent a link of the congressional healthcare bill to the White House.

i wonder what they are actually gonna DO to those people.

And here I thought Jedi's were not afraid of anything, this guys moves more like Sith.

Having read through some of the 'official statements' and blog comments over the course of the day, not only is BO calling out His army and designating us as the enemy, they're calling up all the strawman reservists they can muster.  They are in full panic mode.

This is awesome.  A little sauce for the gander.

On a more serious note, this is definitely worth the read.
